ABOUT WAVECREST HOTELS AND RESORTS, LLC
Wave Crest Hotels and Resorts was created in November, 2010. We evolved from Wave Crest Resorts, a development company that traces its origins to the 1980s and was responsible for the development of several residential and commercial buildings in North County San Diego, primarily in the hospitality field. These properties include the Wave Crest Resort in Del Mar, The Tamarack Beach Resort in Carlsbad and the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad, the latter currently managed by our Company.
The successes enjoyed by Wave Crest Resorts as an owner/developer led to the idea of forming its own management company. This was made possible by selecting several key individuals with extensive experience and creative ideas to be part of the newly formed company. Wave Crest Hotels and Resorts’ first management contracts are with The Hilton Garden Inn at Carlsbad Beach, as well as Wave Crest Resorts’ newest hotel, the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort and Spa.

HILTON CARLSBAD OCEANFRONT RESORT & SPA
With sweeping views of crystal beaches and the Pacific Ocean atop a series of gently rolling berms in sunny Southern California, Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront is the destination for luxury. The Resort features 215 expansive guest rooms and suites, the full-service Ocean Crest Spa and world-class dining at Chandler’s Restaurant & Lounge. Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities including an ocean view swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and over 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor banquet facilities. Driver (Summer Seasonal)
SUMMARY:
Shuttle Driver will assist all guests they come in contact with. Drives hotel van or designated vehicles to and from guest destinations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Safely transporting guests to and from the hotel providing excellent guest services.
Ensuring guests are assisted with luggage.
Guests on the front drive or departing from the main building are assisted.
Shuttle driver for guest need within 10 mile radius.
Handling, carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds
Ensuring that all areas of responsibility are kept neat and clean for our guests and colleagues.
A basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of customer needs
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION:
High School diploma/GED or equivalent education and experience
EXPERIENCE:
Excellent guest service skills and experience within the hospitality or tourism industry
Previous hotel experience in a valet, bell or driver capacity highly preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be age 21 or older and possess valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Required to hold and maintain a satisfactory driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Thorough knowledge of driving/roadway laws and regulations
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Actively mobile
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends
Ability to read and comprehend directives and basic correspondence.
Basic mathematical skills
Must be a positive team player
